Taos Mountain, New Mexico, 2026.
This piece emphasizes the extremes of the New Mexico landscape. The Sangre de Cristo Mountains turn a beautiful red hue at sunset. The polarity of mountain reveals itself as deep blue shadows settle into the canyons and the last ribbons of light slip away. This light display is more prominent as the winter solstice approaches, and the sun approaches its nadir.

Sunrise crosses the vast expanse of pinyons and juniper in the foothills of Questa, New Mexico. Solitude is easy to come by in these desolate landscapes, accessed only by intermittently passable dirt roads.
